In April of 2024 we had the pleasure of contributing some of our couture gowns for Lilly Red’s “By the Lake Workshop”, as well as designing and hand-crafting a mini collection inspired by Lake Como, specifically for the workshop. We are excited to share that a photo captured by Bowness Film, two of the many talented photographers in attendance, has been featured in the July 2024 issue of British Vogue. Led by renowned photographer, Pablo Laguia, this shoot was set in the beautiful Gardens of Villa Melzi overlooking Lake Como in the small, enchanting town of Bellagio, Italy.

The photo published features our “Aurora Gown”, a blush and rose gold wedding gown named after the Roman goddess of sunrise, and belonging to both our Haute Couture and Alternative Bridal Collections. Unlike a traditional ball gown, the Aurora is as light as a feather, with soft volume created by layers of tulle, Italian silk organza, and an overlay of exquisite Arte Nouveau inspired embroidery crafted in a family owned mill also located in Italy. The structured, sheer bodice is adorned with hand appliquéd pieces of embroidery, features a lace up back threaded with antique French ribbon, and the entire gown is adorned with hand made three dimensional silk flowers.
